Software Engineering Manager (TypeScript/Node.js, React, AWS)

We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and establish a new software engineering office in Singapore. Reporting to the Head of Software Engineering (with a dotted line to the CIO), this role involves building a new team that complements with the overseas team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the setup and development of the Singapore software engineering function.
- Collaborate and coordinate with overseas teams
- Make strategic decisions on product roadmaps, software development, and technology patterns.
- Oversee team workflows, coaching, and technology administration to align with Compay’s global vision.
- Manage planning, hiring, and career development for the Singapore team.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant software engineering management and leadership experience.
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript (Node.js), React, AWS or related technologies.
- Proven experience in building teams in high-growth, agile environments.
- Excellent communication skills to work with cross functional teams located overseas.
