As a Senior Manager of Global Facilities Module and Subcontract team, you will be responsible for establishing the category strategy and supplier relationships for assigned category.
This Senior Manager role leads global category supplier managers. The team works on a dynamic portfolio of categories and sub-categories including various Module and Subcontract category such as Off-Site-Manufacturing, Modularized system and various Subcontract packages
Team will play a key role to support Micron’s global expansion projects and existing FABs at Micron’s global footprints for both greenfield and brownfield projects.
You will have experience leading global teams and monitor performance metrics to identify and implement continual improvement opportunities.
In this role, you are expected to collaborate with cross functional stakeholders, 3rd party service providers and suppliers across multiple categories and regions, in an indirect procurement leadership role. You will engage in and lead the development and implementation of category strategies to optimize cost, supply, and quality.
You will be exposed to a mega scaled EPC projects of Micron’s global expansion and will plan and implement global category strategies.
This position is based in Singapore.
Build and Execute Indirect Categories
- Work with direct and cross-functional teams to plan strategic sourcing direction for category.
- Recommend targets for spend reduction, sourcing efficiency, supplier management and supply base optimization.
- Define and deliver category cost savings and scorecard metric targets, monitor and report out progress to targets
- Recommend resource levels across Indirect Procurement sourcing categories, projects and functions
- Monitor and adjust category compliance (e.g. risk, spend, quality, supplier segmentation, management)
- Monitor the implementation of category and sourcing strategies and contract compliance and participate in the resolution of any constraints or issues
- Communicate sourcing trends and results for Indirect categories to the Category Director.
- Maintain supplier segmentation map for category, and build partnerships with strategic suppliers
Lead and Manage Indirect Procurement Team
- Support building a skilled, strategic sourcing Procurement team (recruitment, training, staffing, and retention)
- Build consensus on assigned category strategic plan and refine (if required)
- Drive team engagement, inspiring and motivating the team to do their best and achieve aggressive goals
- Provide leadership on Global Procurement initiatives, providing clarity and line of sight for the Indirect Category team
- Assist Category Director in building integrated strategic plan, including to drive innovation and transformative initiatives.
- Represent Micron in industry and professional forums
Interface with Stakeholders, Partners, and Suppliers on Category Strategies
- Initiate and sustain effective communication with stakeholders, partners and suppliers (top down)
- Share updates back to the Category Director and/or Indirect Leadership Teams (bottom up)
- Escalate issues, offering options and recommendation for resolution
- Communicate strategic sourcing goals, category management plans, initiatives and targets
- Maintain relationships with supplier senior executives
Collaborate with Stakeholders to Deliver Strategic Solutions
- Develop and maintain expertise in the assigned spend categories through relationships with Category Director, Category Supplier Managers, and Regional Indirect Leaders/Team Members
- Implement processes to monitor stakeholder satisfaction for key suppliers
- Drive proactive approach with Stakeholders when solving issues and representing Procurement
- Manage conflict and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide advice to senior and executive management on strategic decisions related to the category
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- PMP certification or equivalent, preferred
- CPSM certification or equivalent, preferred
- Semiconductor related Engineering background, preferred
EXPERIENCE
Required
- Manage multiple large-scale projects concurrently, ability to work with minimal supervision, strong project management skills.
- Strong technical background and understanding in Semiconductor FAB operations with knowledge of EPC construction and module fabrication for Semiconductor manufacturing FAB.
- 10+ years’ experience in Semiconductor industry
- Market intelligence in Semiconductor industry
- Comfort around Senior Leaders and Executives, ability to create and deliver executive-level presentations
Responsible for overseeing activities related to the procurement of materials, parts, components, and equipment. Directs the activities of buyers and expediters to accomplish company objectives. Reviews and approves purchases up to a specified dollar amount. May negotiate major contracts involving large dollar amounts. Develops policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities. Monitors the cost, schedule and performance aspects of major subcontracts. Coordinates purchasing activities with engineering and manufacturing departments to maintain inventories at planned levels. May assist with the establishment and maintenance of the production control system. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
