Job Responsibilities:
- Perform duty and/or shift duty roster to manage Data Centre operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, project rollout, and facilities related matters. This includes maintain and repair of infrastructure systems and critical facilities equipment.
- Perform Data Centre monitoring and maintenance on infrastructure systems, critical facilities, and associated equipment. This includes raised floor environment, mechanical, electrical, emergency generators, fire/life safety systems and associated equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective support to scheduled or unscheduled maintenance on Data Centre infrastructure systems, critical facilities equipment and/or services.
- Ensure all subcontractors deliver a quality and competent service and all contractual obligations are met.
- Perform Data Centre and critical facilities work on environmental and management programs.
- Perform equipment functionality test and data analysis.
- Perform assets management duty. This includes maintaining of inventory, change and control programs, and purchase of parts and supplies.
- Promptly respond and attend to incident and/or emergency situations. This includes fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.
- Be the point of contact during significant events/incidents or multi-discipline technical escalations occurring within the specified sites.
- Provide support, coordinate, and supervise Data Centre maintenance efforts. This includes coordination with internal and/or external parties, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Provide standby support upon activation for shift duty stand-in and/or other coverage.
- Conduct routine, sanity check and on-going assessment of Data Centre infrastructure systems and critical facilities operations.
- Comprehend, analyse, interpret documentation. This include maintaining and updating of as-built drawings and schematic diagram.
- Promote and maintaining the core Values of Engie.
- Ensure professional image of Engie presented to clients and visitors at all times.
- Comply and adhere to all regulated protocol and/or Company’s rules and regulation.
- Perform other duties at time assigned by line managers.
Job Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Equivalent experience.
- Must be able to demonstrate a career showing continuous personal development with at least two years’ experience in Datacentre or 24/7 critical environment management.
- Must be a certified Data Centre Professional or equivalent experience.
- Good experience in 24/7 Datacentre and/or maintaining critical environments.
- Able to perform standby or coverage of shift duty or on weekends/public holidays.
- Preferably understand all the associated safety code related requirements relative to providing the service.
- Experience with Health & Safety, Risk Assessments and Control Measures.
- Detailed understanding and experience of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a Datacentre and commercial environment, including Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Fuel Systems, Switchgear, UPS systems, Battery banks, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, ACMV, chilled water systems, Fire Alarm systems, and Fire Suppression systems (pre-action sprinklers).
- Experience in operations management including team management and work scheduling.
- Experience in managing escalation and emergency issues.
- Experience in vendor management, ability to manage and progress monitoring to ensure objectives are achieve for outsourced support and projects.
