Industrial Software Product Owner

General Description & Mission:

The main mission is to manage the evolution of software solutions that support data processing for all of the Telecom offers of the Thales DIS MCS division for the Telecom, M2M and IOT markets.

You will play the role of Product Owner and you will be responsible for software solutions within the Product Engineering team located in Gémenos and Singapore. You will be responsible for their life cycles and the continuity of their services.

As a software solution expert, you will lead technical projects, optimize processes and ensure the best level of services within the Product Engineering team located in Gémenos / Singapore.

As part of a diverse team, you will work on a portfolio of solutions deployed and maintained either in Thales DIS factories around the world or in a Public/Private Cloud environment. You will fulfill an integral software engineering role, involved in many aspects of software development throughout the full software lifecycle. You will participate in the digital transformation of Data processing solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the differences between vision, strategy and tactics, short and long term roadmap and value proposition
• Lead ceremonies related to backlog management (refinement, sprint planning, etc.)
• Cut, in accordance with the “Definition Of Ready” and “Definition of Done”, the functionalities into “User Stories” to write them and define the acceptance criteria
• Prioritize product backlog items and maintain an up-to-date backlog for the team
• Facilitate user demos with team members for direct feedback
• Measure the progress of “delivery” with the scrum master / agile coach
• Produce simple indicators on the use of the product by users (active daily users, etc.)
• Resolve, with the help of managers and architects, conflicts/problems/priority decisions
• Support deployment teams
• Provide expertise for solving complex problems (L3 level)
• Participate in the continuous improvement of your job
• Internal stakeholders : 90%You are in contact with the agile development teams and other stakeholders in the Data processing product line. to know
  Product Engineering Department, Development, Infra deployment & support,
  Production sites (in particular the “Data processing”, Equipment technical engineer and Managers teams)

• External stakeholders : 10%Subcontractors and suppliers
• Lead or participate in projects aimed at developing and improving the efficiency of data processing.
• Contribute to the digital transformation project (Devops)
• Failure analysis (software, method, process).
• Update the knowledge base with software/process information after each deployment and issue.
• Participate in the definition of activity KPIs.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or related field
• At least 3 years of proven experience as project leader in industrial and software environment, or with 5 year experiences in Industrial software development
• Good project management skills
• Excellent technical skills and software development experience
• Agile framework skills (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• Fluent English (oral and written)
• Customer service oriented, organized, autonomous. Able to prioritize and provide timely technical solution support.
• Good communication skills to coordinate other team members
• Good technical background in the areas of smart cards, telecommunications, banking, identity, cryptography and overall security.
• Experience in C/C++/Java/python software development languages
• Experience using relational databases (Oracle/MariaDb/PostgreSQL, SQL queries)
• Technical skills and experience in Cloud architecture environment and solution design
• Technical skills in IT infrastructure, Windows/Linux system configuration, network design
• Basic knowledge of Agile and SCRUM methods
