We are looking for a skilled and experienced QA/QC Engineer with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold certifications in AWS (American Welding Society) and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) and will be responsible for ensuring quality assurance and control across various mechanical projects, particularly in industrial settings such as process piping, welding, and fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and tests related to welding, piping, and mechanical systems to ensure the highest quality.
- Review and approve quality control documentation, including material certificates, test records, and non-conformance reports.
- Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and ensure that all materials and welds meet required safety and quality standards.
- Work closely with the project team, contractors, and suppliers to resolve any quality issues during project execution.
- Ensure compliance with AWS standards and other relevant engineering codes and practices.
- Monitor and report on project quality metrics, providing recommendations for improvements when necessary.
- Prepare detailed inspection and test plans (ITPs), as well as final quality reports for project handover.
- Ensure all health, safety, and environmental standards are met during quality inspections.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- AWS (American Welding Society) and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) certifications are mandatory.
- Proven experience in QA/QC roles, particularly in industrial, mechanical, or process piping environments.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, inspection techniques, and standards.
- Familiarity with Singapore’s safety regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact with project teams, clients, and contractors.
- Proficiency in QA/QC software and reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in process piping plants or similar industrial projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is an added advantage.
