Job Description
1. Prepare mechanical design, details, and assembly drawings by using Solid Work software
2. Proficiency in Solid Work is required
3. Responsible for conceptual design, new product design, and improvement to existing product
4. Experience with Engineering calculations
5. Communicate and coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments, to meet objectives and requirements, plan, monitor, and control the project, including carrying out the implementation of the project
6. Prepare cost estimation, budget, control report, and other technical documentation when required
7. Hands-on and assist in the factory manufacturing, installation, buy-off, supporting of projects internally and at customer sites, and other technical activities when required
8. Assist in monitoring projects, prepare reports on project progress, and ensure project schedule is being met
9. Fulfil any other duties as and when assigned by the management
Requirements:
1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's or Diploma Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 to 3 years of working experience and above. ITE candidates with more than 10 years of experience will be considered.
2. Working experience in the design and development of optic and handler applications or a similar background is preferred.
3. Able to work independently, and as a team player, commitment, and a sense of ownership are necessary
4. Good interpersonal, management, and decision-making skills
5. Able to travel with short notice and station overseas when required
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
A 5-day work week is required in the Sembawang area. Candidates who are able to start work immediately or on short notice are preferred. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
