Vehicle Mechanic
Job description
DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform preventive maintenance and repair services to all US Navy and Air Force Vehicle and Equipment under BOS contract in accordance with USN P-300 & USAF TCTO’s.
2. Troubleshoot, overhaul and repair CESE & MHE equipment mechanical & electrical system defect. (transmission, Clutch, brakes, power train, under chassis, steering, differential, alternator starter motor etc.. )
3. Troubleshoot repair light and heavy vehicles electrical circuit and accessories (Alternator, Starter Motor, Wiper Motor)
4. Perform repair balancing and replacement of different type of tire use by vehicles and equipment under BOS contract.
5. Document all work performed in accordance with USN and USAF established guide line and procedures.
6. Perform vehicles and equipment fire extinguisher inspection once month
7. Perform vehicle lift maintenance and lubrication once a month
8. Perform tyre repair and replacement of vehicles and equipment under BOS contract
9. Maintenance for MHE Equipment & Maintenance of Light/Heavy vehicle
10. Check vehicles fire extinguishers & document result
BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Skill in maintenance and repair of Flight line support equipment (aircraft tow tractor, bobtail truck)
2. Able to read and interpret equipment hydraulic & electrical schematic diagrams and symbols
