DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct reports to Site Safety Health Officer and PM.
- Receive and follow orders from the Site Safety & Health Officer.
- Conducts workplace safety inspections on construction site/projects and ensure that all activities are in compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
- Conducts new-employee health and safety orientations.
- Assist the Site Safety Health Officer in conducting accident investigations.
- Assist in maintenance of the database file system for annex specific deliverables and generate various safety related report.
- Perform and prepare Activity Hazard Analyses to evaluate work-related hazards associated with non-routine or complicated projects.
- Responsible for workplace and/or project site safety requirements which include but are not limited to inspection, identification, control and elimination of workplace hazards, appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper usage, safe working practices and procedures, safe site condition, proper usage of tools and equipment and monitoring of hazardous materials including generation of hazardous waste.
BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the field of Safety and Health preferably with a US Military Base Installation.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING
- Completed 30 Hour of Training on both OSHA CFR 1946 (Construction) or OSHA CFR 1910 (General Industry)
- Completed 40 Hour EM-385-1-1 NAVFAC Training OR
- Completed WSH training for Fall Protection, Scaffolds Safety, Electrical Safety, Control of Hazardous Energy (LOTO), Excavation, Hazard Analysis and Evaluation, Respiratory Protection, Construction Safety, Hot Work, Fire Protection, etc.
EDUCATION:
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent or any other related certifications.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 1 of experience in the field of Safety and Health
