How will you value-add?
- Provide IFRS and US GAAP technical accounting advice to clients
- Provide technical accounting support internally to other teams such as valuations, financial due diligence, corporate finance and audit
- Support business development initiatives such as exploring opportunities with clients, preparing thought leadership articles and organising client workshops on latest accounting developments.
About you:
- Possesses a Degree in Accounting or Business equivalent from a recognised university, or Professional Accounting qualification(s)
- More than 8 years of total work experience with min. 3 years and above of relevant experience in a technical accounting advisory role, preferably in a Big 4 accounting firm, with in depth knowledge of complex areas such as business combination, merger accounting, group restructuring, joint operations, share based payments, revenue recognition, service concession arrangements, financial instruments, derivatives and hedging (Note: Shortlisted applicants will be tested on technical knowledge during the interview)
- Strong in consolidation and must have previous experience in preparing complex consolidation entries for large groups rather than only having audited consolidation entries
- Comfortable with public speaking and confident in conducting technical accounting training workshops and seminars
- Driven and able to engage clients in exploring business opportunities
- Outspoken, analytical, strong business acumen and able to thrive in unstructured environment
- Write succinct, well-structured reports and have good command of written and spoken English
- Ability to read Chinese reports and converse with mandarin speaking clients will be advantageous, though not compulsory
