Purpose of the Role:

The Assistant Manager of the Resource Development (Fundraising) Department will be the core strategist to increase/ maintain organisation’s annual donation income. As the champion of all fundraising efforts, you will ensure the set of fundraising plans for the financial year is fulfilled to reach the organisation’s goals. You will also assist in reviewing the department’s directions and needs, providing constructive feedback, and activating changes and improvement.


Responsibilities:

  • Propose annual fundraising plans, organising them by the month and quarterly stating the target breakdown.
  • Conduct the approved plans accordingly with the assistance of a junior executive, and other internal stakeholders whenever possible.
  • Update the Department Manager and share with team members at least bi-weekly on the status and progress of each exercise.
  • Brainstorm with the team and other relevant departments to create new programmes and projects to encourage donors’ participation/ donation.
  • Supervisor to a junior executive, and other senior executives in the absence of the Department Manager; and undertake any other special projects assigned by Department Manager and National Director.
  • Regular meetings with Asia Pacific counterparts and actively engage in regional strategic planning and execution.

A successful candidate would be someone who:

  • Is comfortable to uphold, communicate and affirm Habitat for Humanity’s principles; Pls refer to our website (https://www.habitat.org.sg/about-us) for the details.
  • A tertiary graduate with a minimum of three years of fundraising experience with a proven track record of achieving targets in the social service sector. It would be a big plus if you are not afraid to get your hands dirty and work on the ground with us.
  • Focused and strategic, capable of conceptualising as well as translating it to workable fundraising plans and executing it.
  • A team player yet possessed leadership qualities that influence and motivate the department members to meet annual targets.
  • A productive worker who can achieve the best results in the shortest time while adhering to rules and regulations.
  • A detailed-oriented and efficient multi-tasker who is also organised and resourceful.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) and Customer Relationship Management/ CRM software; resourceful in search engines.
  • Effective communication skills written, spoken and in graphic illustrations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and can relate sensitively in a multi-cultural setting.
  • A candidate who is fluent in English
