Job Title: Food Stall Assistant cum Cook

Job Summary:

We are looking for a versatile and reliable Food Stall Assistant cum Cook to manage various tasks at our food stall. The ideal candidate should be comfortable multitasking, from food preparation and cooking to serving customers and maintaining the cleanliness of the stall. This role requires someone who can handle all aspects of food stall operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Food Preparation and Cooking:Prepare and cook menu items as per the stall’s recipes and guidelines.
    Ensure ingredients are fresh and prepared to order.
    Maintain quality and consistency in food preparation and presentation.
  2. Customer Service:Greet and serve customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
    Take orders accurately and handle any customer inquiries or complaints professionally.
    Upsell items and suggest menu specials to enhance customer experience.
  3. Stall Operations and Maintenance:Set up and clean the food stall before, during, and after operating hours.
    Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system (if applicable).
    Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to avoid shortages.
    Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring hygiene and food safety standards are met.
  4. Inventory Management:Monitor stock levels and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
    Help with receiving deliveries and storing ingredients properly.
  5. Compliance and Safety:Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations in food handling and stall maintenance.
    Ensure cooking equipment and tools are properly cleaned and maintained.
    Dispose of waste and manage recycling as per local guidelines.
  6. Teamwork and Flexibility:Assist in any other duties as required, including helping colleagues during peak hours.
    Adapt to various roles such as cashier, food runner, or kitchen help, based on business needs.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Basic cooking skills with experience in a fast-paced food service environment.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple roles effectively.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Understanding of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Flexibility to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods.

Working Hours:

  • As per stall operating hours.
