UI/UX Designer Job Description

Job Summary:
The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for designing seamless and intuitive user interfaces for our healthcare platforms. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and customer support to ensure our digital products deliver exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate is highly creative, proactive, and has a solid background in both user interface and user experience design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design System: Lead the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of our UI design system to ensure a consistent user experience across products.
- Prototyping & Wireframing: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups for new features and improvements.
- Usability Testing: Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to conduct usability testing, gather feedback, and iterate on designs for optimal user-friendliness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to manage UI/UX tasks, ensuring timely and smooth implementation of designs.
- Customer Insights: Partner with the customer support team to identify pain points and ensure new features and interfaces are intuitive and user-friendly.
- Website Management: Oversee the UI/UX aspects of the company website, ensuring content is well-structured, visually appealing, and easy to navigate.
- Multi-Medium Design Support: Provide design support for marketing collateral, including brochures, newsletters, feature releases, and other promotional materials.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance our digital platforms.
- Any Ad Hoc work related as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably within a tech or healthcare environment.
- Proven experience in creating design systems, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Familiarity with front-end development technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices in usability.
- Experience in conducting user research and translating insights into design improvements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on healthcare or data-driven platforms.
- Familiarity with responsive design and accessibility standards.
- Experience with content management systems like WordPress or Webflow.
