We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer and Data Quality Analyst with more than a decade of experience in various data ecosystems, ETL processes, and data quality frameworks.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Data Engineer/Data Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes, and data quality validation frameworks. You will work with multiple data sources, ensuring seamless integration and transformation of data to support business analytics and reporting needs. You will also collaborate closely with business and reporting teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation processes for structured and unstructured data using SQL Server, MySQL, Snowflake, and other databases.
- Develop scalable ETL pipelines using SSIS, Talend, and other tools, ensuring efficient data flows between source systems, staging areas, and data warehouses (Snowflake).
- Perform data validation and quality checks using SQL scripts, Redgate, and other frameworks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data.
- Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to fine-tune performance for data ingestion and business rule implementations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for requirement gathering, data modeling, and reporting to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Build and maintain automated reconciliation processes between the Data Warehouse and Reporting layers.
- Work closely with the reporting team to support data validation in BI tools like Tableau, QlikView, and Metabase, ensuring high-quality reporting.
- Perform data performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning to ensure the scalability of data solutions.
- Familiarity with the Medallion Architecture for managing data layers in a cloud environment (Snowflake).
- Utilize Jira for project tracking and issue resolution within the project lifecycle.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong expertise in SQL Server, MySQL, and Snowflake databases.
- Proficiency in ETL tools such as SSIS, Talend, and experience in developing data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience in Data Warehouse architecture, performance optimization, and data quality validation.
- Strong in SQL preparation and query optimization.
- Experience with cloud-based data solutions such as Snowflake, AWS S3, and Redshift.
- Experience working with BI tools like Tableau, QlikView, and iReport Designer.
- Familiarity with HiveQL, Spark SQL, and medallion architecture.
- Experience with version control and collaboration tools like GitHub and Jira.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with high-volume datasets.
- Familiarity with performance tuning for large datasets and optimizing stored procedures.
- Knowledge of advanced data engineering concepts like partitioning, indexing, and data modeling.
