JOB DESCRIPTION
Patient care:
1. Provide independent clinical assessment of patients and formulate individualized plans of care together with the multi-disciplinary team,
2. Provide medical advice to junior resident physicians / locum doctors and nurses
3. Perform clinical procedures as required for patient care
4. Chair and lead multi-disciplinary meetings to facilitate the formulation of individualized care plans for patients
5. Support any cross-centre collaboration programme
6. Write medical reports, memos, referrals and administrative forms where required such as for application to schemes beneficial for patients
7. Support on-call nurse in provision of after-hours phone call advice to Home Care and Home Hospice patients / caregivers and conduct home visits as necessary
Quality Improvement (QI):
1. Proactively participate and initiate QI and audit projects undertaken by the MWS Healthcare Services’ team
2. Assist senior doctors and Group Director to ensure adherence to standard protocols for medical practice
Any other tasks that may arise as part of MWS Healthcare Services’ requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· MBBS or an equivalent medical qualification recognised by Singapore Medical Council
· Full registration with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC)
· Relevant Graduate Diploma in Palliative Medicine, Geriatric Medicine or equivalent will be advantageous
· At least 2 years of post-housemanship work experience in relevant disciplines (internal medicine, geriatric, palliative medicine or equivalent)
· Applicants with relevant postgraduate qualification and at least 5 years of relevant post-housemanship experience will be considered for a Senior role.
· Flexible with travelling for duties including house visits
