Purpose of Role/Scope of Position:
The Vice President, Sales will develop and lead the business strategy and commercial execution in Asia Pacific. Working in conjunction with Headquarters, this role will take ownership of the development of increasingly strategic relationships with key customers, OEMs & partners to gain market share and create growth within the region. This role will also be responsible for the building & developing of a highly motivated regional team to ensure that profit objectives and customer expectations are achieved.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction, leadership and management of the Company’s business development, sales and customer service activities for optimized productivity
- Develop and execute a strategy to increase market share significantly and develop new opportunities and product & service offerings with key customers in the region
- Establish and implement strong corporate and control functions to strengthen capabilities and streamline processes for the Company
- Establish operational benchmarks, resources and people capabilities needed to achieve strategic goals
- Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes to establish a highly motivated work environment, and implement innovative changes to exceed sales & profit targets
- Align and forge collaboration across all functions through established performance management routines, measures and operating systems
- Take ownership of the region’s order intake and contribution margin performance; develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans
- Influence and forge collaboration across senior stakeholders in the headquarters & other subsidiaries to ensure overall alignment with strategy, sales & growth objectives
- Identify industry and business forums, associations and platforms to represent the Company and increase the Company’s brand and presence within the region
- Other reasonable duties as assigned by the Management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree & above in Business Management or Engineering & related disciplines, with minimum 15 years of experience in a Senior Management (General Management & Sales) role, ideally in the aviation or MRO industry
- Experience with Aviation Ground Support Equipment, Engine or Airframe Tooling and Engine Transportation would be an added advantage
- Possess a broad perspective and strong business acumen
- Exceptional leadership skills, high professional ethics & strong decision-making ability
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
- Must be willing and able to travel regularly
