Role:
Operations:
- Organize and oversee counter operations, including staff scheduling, performance monitoring, and attendance tracking.
- Handle performance issues and disciplinary matters for counter staff.
- Manage the handling of parcels related to client orders.
- Assist in sourcing external resources (e.g., boats, freelance crew) as needed.
- Perform counter duties during shifts when required.
- Support the operational needs of the fleet.
Teamwork:
- Assist with crewing matters.
- Train and mentor counter staff to ensure job proficiency and support their growth.
- Understudy the operations manager role for self-development.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all procedures for handling client orders are followed, and that counter staff are aware of and comply with requirements.
- Assist in conducting investigations, particularly related to counter operations.
Customer Service:
- Ensure counter staff meet company expectations in delivering customer service standards to clients.
Miscellaneous:
- Support company projects as directed by the operations manager.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the operations manager.
Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent in maritime or logistics-related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in the harborcraft, maritime, or logistics sector.
- Experience in team management.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in spoken English.
- Strong team player.
