The Role

You will be responsible for ensuring that all products, processes meet the established quality standards. The role involves monitoring the quality standards of our vendors, conducting quality checks on samples, implementing continuous improvement measures.

You will work closely with cross functional teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements, enhancing product reliability and customer satisfaction.

You will need the ability to be both hands on and quick to think on your feet when dealing with our network of Suppliers. This is an exciting and pivotal role in the Sourcing, Production & Quality team that requires a go-getter with a positive mindset, have initiative, as well as enjoy working in a fast paced environment. 

You should have / be

  • Bilingual in English and Chinese

  • A passion for fashion is a must, interest in sustainability is a plus

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance and Control:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control standards across all assortments
  • Work with 3rd Party QC inspections to conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Prepare washcare labels on time upon order placement
  • Review and approve materials and products before shipment
  • Prepare required QC files ready for inspection
  • Monitor and evaluate production processes to identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions

2. Process Improvement:

  • Analyse quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross teams & tea leads to implement process improvements and corrective actions
  • Lead initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and minimize waste

3. Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and customer requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality control procedures, reports, and certifications
  • Prepare and present quality reports to team leads

4. Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Conduct monthly catch up with vendors to share back on their performance
  • Understand vendor constraints and bridge internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure the quality of raw materials and components
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments

5. Team Collaboration and Training:

  • Work closely with sourcing, production, product development & commercial teams to ensure quality standards are met
  • Work closely with the customer care team to address customer complaints and ensure timely resolution of quality issues
  • Train and mentor staff on quality control procedures and best practices
  • Promote a culture of quality awareness across the organisation
  • Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Apparel Merchandising, Garment Product development
    2-3 years of experience in quality assurance/control, preferably in Apparel & Fashion
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and industry standards such as ISO 9001
  • Experience with Lean methodologies is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
