Job Summary
You will be working with our client in the financial industry. As Project Manager, you will lead the data centre migration project, overseeing the transition of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
Responsibilities
- Developing and managing a comprehensive migration plan
- Coordinating with internal teams, government stakeholders, and vendors
- Assessing current systems for migration readiness
- Overseeing the design and implementation of new infrastructure
- Managing data and application migration while ensuring security and integrity
- Implementing testing protocols for post-migration verification
- Maintaining project documentation and providing regular updates to stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with government regulations and security standards
- Ensure overall success of a project, or a portfolio of projects, by ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, meet business requirements and comply with governance framework, including security and resiliency.
- Manage and monitor project plan, project milestones, risk and change management to ensure delivery of the project on schedule, within scope and budget.
- Plan and manage the scope of the project, its objectives and desired outcomes, and ensure alignment of project to the business outcomes.
- Plan and lead the development of the business case/concept paper and funding.
- Plan and lead the overall procurement activities, in particular Tender Specifications compilation, tendering, tender evaluation, recommendation & award.
- Lead the development of the overall project schedule & activities based on the appropriate methodology including identifying dependency, critical path, milestones and deliverables.
- Build comprehensive work plan and ensure all team members are on-board with delegated tasks and activities.
- Conduct regular work group meetings and provide project progress and status reports to stakeholders.
- Perform stakeholder management, including keeping the relevant stakeholders informed of the project status on a timely and regular basis.
- Manage processes and procedures covering issue and risk management.
- Manage the project schedule & lead activities towards the successful closure of the project including Performance Guarantee and Warranty Period
- During project maintenance, lead the application maintenance and support services covering: Contract Management, Service Level Management (SLM), Service/Change Request Management (scope, schedule, budget, prioritisation), Problem and Incident Management (tracking, escalation, closure), Audit and Security Services, Risk Management
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or equivalent
- Proven ICT project management experience, preferably in medium to large scale ICT projects in government sector.
- Experience in IT Infra Project Management (Systems, Cloud, Network Facilities, Data Center).
- Possess a proven and successful track record in delivering complex IT projects/programs.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive project plan for the migration, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams, government stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of the migration process.
- Conduct thorough assessments of current systems and applications to determine migration readiness and potential challenges.
- Oversee the design and implementation of the new infrastructure in the government data centre.
- Manage the migration of data, applications, and systems, ensuring data integrity and security throughout the process.
- Develop and implement testing protocols to verify system functionality post-migration.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, change management logs, and lessons learned.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and security standards throughout the migration process.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and key stakeholders on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
