Role Responsibilities


1. Establish and develop the business for client -facing derivative transaction functions from the ground up through

- Prepare new procedures and policies to meet internal regulation and guidelines as well as relevant regulations under related laws and guidelines from MAS;

- Create required documents to disclose risks generated by derivative products to clients (in written & verbal English & Korean); and

- Communicate with Compliance Teams and local regulator (where required)


2. Contribute to Branch’s profit, revenue and trading volume growth through

- cross-sell existing products to Korean & ASEAN clients and developing marketing pitches to attract new clients;

- build and maintain strong relationships with market participants, particularly market makers and liquidity providers, to support product management;

- identify client needs and provide optimal derivative products and solutions including options, swaps, and other structured products;

- work closely with Korean & ASEAN clients to understand market needs, develop product positioning, and create effective marketing communication (using written & verbal English & Korean) ;

- collaborate closely with internal teams including Corporate Finance Team, Settlement Team and etc; and

- monitor financial markets closely and provide proper market updates to Korean & ASEAN clients (in written & verbal English & Korean)


3. Ensure compliance to all local country and Head Office’s legal and compliance regulations and trading code of conduct.



Requirements


· Bachelor or Masters Degree in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Accountancy, Economics or related disciplines

· Professional Qualifications and required examinations by related MAS regulations such as FRMP & CMFAS 1B Certificate

· 10 years’ experience in the banking industry with strong understanding of financial markets and OTC derivative products, especially related to interest rates, foreign exchanges, and commodities

· Wide network of relationships in the financial services sector

· Strong negotiation and organizational skills

· Strong proficiency in Refinitiv, Bloomberg and Murex

· Business level proficiency in written & verbal English & Korean is required to communicate with Korean clients, Head Office, Singapore Branch & Overseas Branches. This includes reading, writing/typing, presenting & answering queries on credit loan or market research related documents or Head Office's questionaire/data request

· Strong interpersonal & communication skills

· Strong team player as a part of our Cross-Border Team in Head Office & Treasury Teams in other overseas branches

· Willing to be flexible & work outside business hours as required, in order to accommodate multiple time zones
