Library & Archives Solutions Pte Ltd (LAAS) incorporated in 2000, is a wholly-owned company of the National Library Board (NLB) of Singapore. It is created to be the sole distributor of products and services of NLB. The Company plans to reach out to the library industry to exert leadership in library innovations, as well as provide assistance to libraries that wish to expand their services and grow their capabilities. It also aims to provide productivity tools to reduce the cost of operations for clients, and to enable libraries to embrace digital technology to better serve users.


Key Responsbilities :

  • Support and conduct LAAS’ training such as Records Management Training, Advanced Declassification Training, Digitisation Training, Records Management Appraisal Masterclass, and any other training as required
  • Co-develop training materials in the areas of archives, and thereafter maintain and make continuous improvements to those training courseware and materials
  • Provide support for LAAS’ consultancy projects, especially in the areas of archives and file plan development
  • Document process and procedures related to archives and file-plan related areas of work.
  • Client management for LAAS’ relationships with existing and potential clients

Key Requirements & Qualifications

  • Candidate should possess minimally a Degree
  • Experience with Records Management or Knowledge Management, in particular government agencies would be advantageous
  • At least 2-4 years of experience working in a role that supports training and/or management of projects, relevant training will be provided by LAAS
  • Is meticulous, open to learning, client-oriented, and proactive
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision after relevant training has been provided
  • Keen to develop knowledge of digital content management systems, metadata standards, and database management.
  • Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate between various departments and external consultants.
  • Commitment to staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in digital archiving and management
