The Role
- Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will monitor cash flow movement on a regular basis and perform all margining processes, including fund allocations, daily FX forecast and market price movements across the APAC region.
You will play a crucial role in our treasury operations, supporting our growth strategy within the APAC region
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor cash flow movement on a regular basis and perform all margining processes, including fund allocations, daily FX forecasts, and market price movements.
- Compile and integrate cash flow forecasts from various departments and prepare a consolidated report.
- Monitor daily cash inflows and outflows to ensure prompt receipts from customers and timely payments to suppliers within the APAC region.
- Work closely with Shipping Operations to monitor shipments, ensure correct security before cargo release, and provide timely and accurate finance-related costs for MTM updating.
- Prepare and/or second-check all necessary trade documents (e.g., bank cover letters, drafts, commercial invoices) to ensure acceptability to banks and counterparties.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments such as cargo, freight, brokerage, and warehouse fees to maintain smooth operations
- Oversee the management of all banking facilities granted by principal bankers.
- Handle day-to-day bank relationships and utilization, placing transactions with our suite of financing banks.
- Liaise with banks throughout the transaction lifecycle to address concerns and issues promptly.
- Prepare management reports and contribute to ad-hoc treasury projects.
- Any other ad-hoc assignments.
The Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of regional treasury experience.
- Prior working experience in a commodity industry is a MUST.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of financial risk management, FX exposure, and hedging strategies.
- Demonstrate knowledge in LC transactions, including understanding LC terms, issuance, document presentation, and negotiation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
