Shipping Officer / Sales Coordinator (12 months contract)

  • Ensure timely issuance of contract to customer, prepare, monitor, and verify shipping documents from Suppliers and send shipping instructions of materials for shipment.
  • Ensure shipping documents are in order and file accordingly
  • Escalate potential issues in the department in a timely manner. File and keep all documents properly.
  • Reviews customer purchase orders to assess requirements.
  • Process and maintain customer purchase orders (e.g., order entry, etc.)
  • Prioritizes orders with issues based on required ship date and performs analysis on whether orders can proceed without additional input.
  • Performs research in the ERP system to potentially resolve order issues.
  • Revises and actions open orders that are pending resolution.
  • For all critical orders, ensures timeliness of shipment through internal coordination and liaison with other functional stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and correspond with customer on sales orders status
  • Issue of P/O, preparation of shipping documents, LC and ensure no discrepancy on pricing
  • Process of invoices, generate billing and monitor any outstanding, aging reports on a monthly basis
  • Issuing of CN and DN, follow up on overdue payments and provide payment details to the finance department
  • Liaise with factory on shipment schedules, manage urgent demand request
  • Provide customer support on problem and issues arising from shipment
  • Support in investigations of internal / external complains to identify root cause and provide solutions
  • Ad-hoc duties assigned by supervisor


Job Responsibilities

  • Diploma in Shipping and Logistics, Supply chain management and other related studies
  • 2-3 years of experience Shipping / logistics, preferably from supply chain, freight and forwarding, transport and warehouse environment
  • Preferably with relevant experience in Program Management
  • Independent and able to work in a team
  • Possess good communication skills and able to interact with all levels
  • Good understanding and knowledge in inventory control, planning and procurement
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in MS office applications (Knowledge of SAP is advantageous)
  • Ability to enter large volume of orders in the system


Location : West (Pandan Crescent)

Salary Range : $3,500.00
