Responsibilities
- Advise on legal and compliance assessment of product features, processes and functions.
- Conduct daily support in commercial transactions, including contracts drafting and negotiations with business partners.
- Collaborate effectively with regional and cross-functional teams (including product, finance, tax, data privacy) to provide legal support from strategy to daily queries.
- Create templates, guidelines, playbooks to support the product teams or facilitate compliance initiatives.
- Other work assigned by supervisor on case by case basis.
Minimum Qualifications
- LLM or JD degree from an accredited Law School and a member in good standing of a Bar Association.
- 5+ years of experience in-house and/or in a reputable law firm, working in the IP/IT, media and technology fields.
- Strong analytical, drafting and negotiation skills.
- Flexible, solution-oriented, pro-active and self-motivated.
- Good communication skills and able to work effectively with team members and cross-function partners from different cultural and professional backgrounds.
- Ability to assess legal, practical and business risks in a fast-paced environment and provide sound advice under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure internet and entertainment law.
- Familiarity with privacy and data protection principles is a plus.
- Exceptional work ethics and professional attitude.
- Exceptional team spirit, willing to help and take initiative.
