Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Planning, your responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following job scopes: -
- To apply and conform to standard practices for City and Regional Planning guidelines where necessary;
- To apply best in urban planning and design techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications on projects;
- Independently lead and guide junior team in delivering projects primarily involving master planning or urban design input in coordination with team leaders;
- Create innovative design solutions or task management in support of projects in urban design and planning concepts and translate them into clear and compelling graphic images;
- Develop solutions that effectively address the social, legal, and economic implications of the physical form; modify and/ or review drawings, construction documentation and detailing;
- Confer with design teams in reviews regarding design schemes, proposals and approvals;
- To coordinate and consult with federal, state and local regulatory agencies on scope and impact of project when necessary;
- To prepare, correct and update work documents;
- To manage scopes, schedules and budgets if necessary;
- To assume lead in Business Development in specific markets as maybe assigned;
- Provide assistance in reporting project activities and BD pursuits to senior management;
- At least 15-20% travel time is anticipated;
- Assist the team to handle day-to-day communications with Clients and manage Client expectations; and
- Assist in preparing project showcases and proposals as part of marketing and promotion efforts to attract clientele and seek approvals from authorities.
Job Requirement
- Master or Degree in related field with preference in Architecture or Urban Planning / Design
- More than 5 years working experience in related field and demonstrated ability to lead design teams
- Candidate with a flair for urban articulation will be preferred
