Job Description
- Full Set of Accounts:Prepare and manage financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow.
Handle accounts receivable (AR) processes.
Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing.
- Multi-Entity Accounting:Manage financial reporting for multiple entities, including consolidation and intercompany transactions.
Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and audit requirements across entities.
Oversee multi-currency transactions and forex adjustments where applicable.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
Provide variance analysis to track actual performance against budgets.
- Compliance and Taxation:Ensure adherence to local tax regulations (GST, corporate tax).
Coordinate with external auditors and tax agents during audits and tax filing.
- Systems and Process Improvements:Implement finance process improvements and ensure data integrity.
Utilize financial systems (SAGE, accounting software) to streamline operations.
- Liaison and Reporting:Liaise with internal departments, such as operations and sales, for financial alignment.
Prepare management reports and provide insights for decision-making.
The Successful Applicant
- Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in handling a full set of accounts, preferably within the 3PL, logistics, or freight forwarding industry.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
