Overview of Role


Based in Singapore, the Treasury Group (TG) manages the Branch’s investment portfolio, Asset and Liability Management (ALM), and Liquidity Management. TG invests in various products, primarily in interest rate and credit risk products.

Assistant Manager will be responsible for contributing to portfolio investments, ALM and liquidity management, including executing trades.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Perform due diligence and analysis on investment opportunities across multi-asset classes including bonds and equities.
  • Monitor financial markets and contribute to decision making of investments.
  • Analyze macroeconomic trends and evaluate the credit strengths and weaknesses of sovereigns and companies.
  • Develop financial models and prepare investment memos to report and discuss investment activities, performance, and ALM or liquidity conditions with the Head Office
  • Stay informed about financial market regulations and ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Any other ad-hoc assignment as required.


Job requirements:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in banking sector with ALM/Liquidity management and/or financial products investments including bonds and equities.
  • Good Knowledge of macro economy and financial markets including Japanese markets
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-tasking and work under pressure.
  • Independent and a team player with good interpersonal skill are required to engage diverse team of stakeholders across different group in the branch, and unit or division in Head Office.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written skills in both English and Japanese to work closely with various Japanese stakeholders in the related Units or Division in Tokyo head office.
