Job Position: Managing Director
Salary Range: $13,500 - $18,000
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the recruitment and appointment of managerial staff in line with company objectives and values.
- Execute decisions made by the Board of Directors, offering strategic guidance and ensuring policy and initiative implementation.
- Manage and supervise daily business operations, cultivating efficiency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and external stakeholders, negotiating contracts on behalf of the Board of Directors.
- Develop and implement strategies for business growth, expansion, and diversification, leveraging market insights and industry trends.
- Monitor financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures to enhance profitability and sustainability.
- Uphold the highest standards of corporate governance, compliance, and ethical conduct throughout the business.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 40 years of relevant executive leadership experience, preferably in the construction or engineering sectors with substantial exposure to financial management.
- At least 10 years of experience in the Singapore market managing large-scale engineering or construction projects.
- Proven experience in strategic planning and decision-making at a board level, with a demonstrated track record of driving organizational growth.
- Extensive knowledge of financial management, including budgeting, resource allocation, and maximizing ROI, with a proven ability to mitigate financial risks.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in dealing with high-profile clients and board members.
- Strong familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards in Singapore and international markets, including BCA, MOM, and NEA guidelines.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin is required to facilitate negotiations with Chinese-speaking stakeholders and suppliers, as well as manage communication for projects in Singapore and China.
- Experience working in both Singapore and China is essential, with a deep understanding of the cultural and business differences between the two markets.
- Willingness to travel internationally to meet with clients, attend conferences, and represent the company's interests on a global scale.
