Job Description
The Engineering Data Analyst will be responsible for building business cases, identifying use cases, and collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop data-driven solutions using tools such as Python, PowerApps, Power BI, and Power Automate. This role is integral to driving data-centric decision-making and operational efficiency within the engineering department.
Major Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis to support the development of business cases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and outline project objectives.
- Present findings and recommendations to management for approval and funding.
- Work closely with SMEs to identify, prioritize, and document key use cases.
- Analyze existing processes and workflows to pinpoint areas for data-driven improvements.
- Design and propose innovative solutions tailored to business needs.
- Develop and deploy data-driven solutions utilizing tools such as Python, PowerApps, Power BI, and Power Automate.
- Create data models, dashboards, and visualizations to provide actionable insights.
- Implement automation solutions to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Perform data cleaning, validation, and analysis to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the effectiveness of deployed solutions.
- Prepare and deliver progress reports, documentation, and presentations as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis or related role.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Strong experience with PowerApps, Power BI, and Power Automate.
- Familiarity with SQL and database management.
- Experience with data modeling and visualization tools.
- Proven track record of developing and deploying data-driven solutions in an engineering context.
- Strong experience in business case development and use case identification.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
