Job Objective/s
Sets direction and drives for product improvement to maintain product relevance and competitiveness in Denselight’s market. This position plays a critical role within the organization and works closely with engineering, product marketing & R&D teams to drive the early adoption of Denselight’s new products. The job requires a leader who can manage a team of technical & application managers efficiently, and has the ability to work cross functionally, brining different teams together to work towards common goals. The person needs to have technical depth, and be deeply analytical, identifying market trends, and translate that into new product & solution goals for the organization
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Work with the team of application managers & technical marketing managers to provide direction on technical matters as well as drive the team effectively towards the successful launch of new products and solutions
2. Set up and manage customer technical support capability, including test labs that allow the team to continuously engage and help customers develop systems and capabilities around Denslight solutions
3. Develop continuous product roadmap in collaboration with CTO
a. Analyse market & competitive trends and then translate this into product specifications that the R&D team will need to deliver in order to sustain continuous growth
b. Own the product development/improvement plans of existing products, which includes getting the budgets & approvals
c. Lead the product engineering team to set and execute improvement goals for product engineering group to be in line with company objectives
d. Leads and manages continuous improvement activities of the Product Management function, identifying opportunities to improve performance through ongoing productivity enhancements
4. Clarify Denselight’s primary value proposition, and work with the internal teams to develop a strategy to target potential customers that can drive growth
5. Lead in product customization projects.
a. Plays the role of chief architect in product customization projects with consultation with CTO
b. Lead cross functional team and drive for timely completion of customization projects that meet customer specifications
6. Set and ensure seamless transition of NPI product to manufacturing. Setup and ensure adherence to system for products to be transitioned from NPI to manufacturing. Ensure timely launch of new products, and all deliverables like samples, customer read collaterals, customer are available on time.
7. All other duties reasonably assigned.
Qualification Guidelines
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Minimum Experience
Minimum 15 years’ working experience with technical background in optoelectronics, technical and marketing application sales in optical component, photonics device system and sub-system.
Electrical-mechanical sensor experience an added advantage for alternate marketing skill set. Silicon photonics and LED product line management experience.
Specific Knowledge / Skills
Knowledge of market research, Familiar with CRM & ERP System
Can communicate in English fluently
Understand the basic business policies and terminology.
