Job Description
- Assist during lessons in the science lab
- Assist teachers with Science related events/activities
- Prepare apparatus and materials for internal Science practical assessments.
- Set up, clear and clean science lab as required by HOD/Science
- Track and record the usage of science apparatus of set-ups
- Take stock of science lab consumables and equipment and provide proper labelling
- Report obsolete/damaged goods in science lab for replacement
- Label all the cupboards in the science lab with the contents
- Sprucing up of Science labs with print-rich materials eg. displays, posters and concept cartoons
- Perform routine servicing and maintenance of equipment
- Any other duties as and when assigned by HOD/Science
Requirements
- Familiar with computer skills.
- Basic knowledge of classroom procedures (facilitating science experiments and group work)
- A pleasant, caring, patient and nurturing disposition, as the candidate is expected to render assistance/ first aid to students in a girls’ school.
- School experience and enjoy dealing with young children.
- Advantageous if candidate has qualifications relating to Science
- Experience in working in school science lab and possesses basic first aid certification.
- Comfortable interacting with people of all levels and multi-tasking.
Working hours
- Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 3:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
