Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ACMV systems within commercial or industrial buildings, ensuring optimal system performance.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all ACMV equipment to minimize system downtime and extend equipment life.
- Supervise a team of ACMV technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality work and safety compliance.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, building codes, and TAFEP laws, fostering a fair, inclusive, and non-discriminatory workplace.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues with ACMV systems, including chillers, AHUs, ventilation fans, and related components.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or system upgrades, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely completion.
- Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance. Prepare regular reports for the Facilities Manager on system status and any required improvements.
- Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives and best practices to improve the efficiency of ACMV systems in line with sustainability goals.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or Building Services, with a focus on ACMV systems.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintaining ACMV systems, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in large commercial or industrial buildings is essential.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial ACMV systems, including chillers, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), and ventilation systems.
- Proven ability to lead a team of technicians and manage maintenance operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with local building regulations, safety standards, and a commitment to upholding TAFEP principles for fair employment practices.
- Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with management, technicians, and external contractors.
