About the Role
Our Forensic Technology team in Singapore works with corporations, governments and law firms to meet with legal, regulatory and investigative demands by leveraging our skills to enable our clients to more confidently govern, secure, find, analyze and rapidly understand their data in the context of compliance and risk.
This Director position is a part of FTI Consulting’s Technology team. As part of the Singapore based team, the Director will be cross-trained in various digital forensics, e-Discovery skills and will assist on all phases of e-Discovery and digital investigations matters.
This position reports to the Senior Director of the Singapore Technology practice. The position will be expected to provide guidance to Consultants in the practice, and will be expected to follow onsite directions from the Technology practice Directors on a project basis.
What You’ll Do
- The primary responsibility of this position is related to digital investigations and e-Discovery involving data preservation, forensic analysis, processing, loading, e-Discovery support, tracking and management of client data. Training will be provided on both our in-house IP and the suite of industry-standard tools deployed in our forensics labs
- Assume responsibility for day-to-day data preservation, forensic analysis, processing, loading, e-Discovery support, and other specialised tasks including interaction with other consultants, supervisors and client personnel
- Coordinate closely with colleagues within and across teams to manage the delivery of client requirements
- Manage any project related queries and issues and provide solutions/workarounds
- Liaise and communicate on a daily basis with other teams and manage expectations on client requests
- Customer service oriented to meet client deadlines, including working out of business hours when necessary
- Conduct internal training sessions to more junior team members
- Actively involved in providing product enhancement feedback, research, and coordinating the deployment of tools and processes to the wider Asia team
- Participate in digital evidence collection exercises, on-site at client premises around Singapore, the South East Asian region, and abroad, sometimes with minimal notice
- Utilise industry standard and bespoke software to access, extract, and cull data from electronic evidence sources

Basic Qualifications
- Degree in a technology focused subject such as computer science, forensic computing or information systems, or equivalent experience in professional services firms
- Solid experience of working in an e-Discovery, Digital Forensics, or Technology related role
- Solid experience with data preservation hardware tools such as FastBloc or the Tableau range
- Solid experience with data preservation and analysis software such as Encase, FTK or XWays
- Solid experience in using SQL and relational databases
- Experience in processing data in Nuix or equivalent data processing platforms
- Knowledge/Familiarity with Nuix scripting but not mandatory
- Familiarity with personal computer and server hardware, operating systems and software
- Familiarity of data manipulation using MS Access and Excel
- Knowledge of programming (C++, Java, Visual Basic, PERL, Ruby)
- Knowledge of Review platforms such as Nuix Discover, Relativity, Concordance but not mandatory
- Litigation support experience
- Working knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM)
- Self-developer that demonstrates an ability to solve complex problems with well thought-out innovative solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both internally and externally
- Displays an ability to work independently and to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Possess supervisory experience in guiding junior members
- Regional/Global travel to client office(s) and/or FTI regional office(s) as needed
- Attend early/late hours’ regional/global meetings as needed
