Key Summary
The Community Relations Director is an expert communicator on all matters in corporate communications and marketing that support the Foundation’s objectives through the engagement of strategies and initiatives designed to make positive contributions to the community while effectively positioning the Tsao Foundation brands.
We are seeking a highly competent individual with substantial management experiences in developing and executing community care and ecosystem partnerships, internal and external communications, marketing and branding, public and media relations, fundraising, volunteer management and crisis management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust corporate communications strategies for engaging stakeholders and promoting the Foundation’s advocacy for successful ageing
- Oversee corporate branding and marketing communications on all platforms to develop the strategic direction for media and market engagement through publicity, publications and campaigns
- Assess marketing trends, competitor insights, brand audiences and clients’ journey to drive engagement and execute campaigns that increase brand reach
- Oversee integrity, consistency and quality standards of executive visibility in related practices and in brand communications across the Foundation including the editorial board and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Develop and implement policies on volunteer and donor stewardship to increase and enhance valued partnership
- Assist with the expansion of cooperative partnerships with businesses, government agencies, and other organizations
- Provide counsel to the Senior Management and Board of Directors regarding present and potential public relations concerns and opportunities for expansion of community engagement
- Undertake staff development and budget management and contribute to the overall organisational development
Key Requirements
- Minimum Degree in Marketing/Mass Communications or related fields with 12-15 years of experience in marketing and corporate and PR communications
- Strong supervisory experience leading a small team of communications specialists, including volunteer and donor stewardship
- Possess an understanding of local and regional marketing trends in the healthcare, community care and preferably eldercare industries
- An advocate for the Foundation’s vision for positive change as a not-for-profit organization
- A champion for the wellbeing and potential of older persons in an inclusive society
- Able to engage internal stakeholders at all levels to support the buy-in and approval of Communications programmes and strategies proposed
- Creative and innovative with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Mandarin
