We are seeking a Senior Executive Engineer (Structural) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience to provide:
- Independent civil and structural (C&S) engineering design, analysis and calculations for wharf structures (e.g. caisson and other marine retaining system), temporary structures and other retaining structures.
- Leadership in the preparation of technical design reports, calculations, and drawings in accordance with project requirements, Code of Practices, Authorities’ requirements, standard and regulations.
- Complete all the necessary Authorities’ submission and clearance.
- Review technical and design submissions and provide guidance and support to the design team.
- Leadership of a small group of structural design engineers for the day-to-day works.
- Support the Chief Engineer and coordinate among various design disciplines among the team (e.g. geotechnical/hydraulic/environmental team), as well as with design specialists, clients, stakeholders and any other project parties.
- Monitor the design progress and report to the Chief Engineer.
- Attend and lead in meetings, discussions and workshops and to address/solve technical related issues.
- Lead in the preparation of tender documents including technical specifications and review the documents.
You will have/be:
- A civil/structural engineer holding minimum a bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering recognized by Professional Engineers Board (PEB) of Singapore.
- A registered Professional Engineer with PEB of Singapore in the branch of Civil Engineering has an added advantage.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant civil/structural engineering design experience in consultant firm(s) (after tertiary education).
- Familiar with Authorities submission requirements and process such as BCA, LTA, PUB and NParks etc.
- Excellent civil & structural design including steel and reinforced concrete design such as piling, retaining wall and capping beam design.
- Experience with land reclamation, port & jetty and/or coastal engineering projects, as well as having prior exposure in the design of quay walls, wharf structures and offshore structures will be highly regarded.
- Familiarity with relevant code of practices including Eurocodes, Singapore Standard and British Standard.
- Well versed in engineering design software, e.g. STAAD Pro, Prokon, ETABS, SAP2000, Plaxis, GeoStudio etc. as well as familiar with AutoCAD.
- Well-developed written and fluent verbal communication skills in English.
- A good team player, self-motivated and high proactive to achieve positive results
- Skillful and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
