- Install and configure standalone and High Availability(HA) databases
- Perform database creation/configuration, patches, migration and version upgrades
- Perform database performance analysis and tuning inclusive of capacity planning with a detailed analysis
- Perform database backup and complex recovery
- Experience in strong troubleshooting, diagnosing and recovery from complex database issues
- Provide strong technical assistance and advice to application teams
- Co-ordinate with internal IT and escalate to vendors for timely response/recovery
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or any IT-related discipline
- At least 8 to 9 years of relevant working experience in core database administration
- A good work experience in Oracle 11g/12c//19c
- A good work experience in SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2017/2019
- A good work experience in Oracle Data Guard/Real Application Cluster(RAC)
- A good work experience in SQL Server Clustering/Replication/Mirroring/AlwaysOn
- A good work experience in few Open source databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Yugabyte and MongoDB.
- Work experience in automation scripts and Cloud implementation are added advantage.
- Knowledge in Windows/IBM AIX/Solaris/Linux is an added advantage
- Self-motivated and driven for end results
- Good interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Banking experience is an added advantage
- Applicants who are open to Night shifts would be preferred.
