Overview of role

Installation Manager manages team of installers who are responsible for installation, schedules and oversees the installations. Installation Manager typically reports to Project Manager.

The Installation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the installation process of various systems and applications.
  • Plan and oversee installation projects.
  • Coordinate with clients and vendors to ensure smooth installation process.
  • Supervise and manage a team of installation technicians. Manage day-to-day performance of their jobs.
  • Provide training to installation team members and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain records of installation projects and prepare reports on project status.
  • Recommend improvements to installation procedures and processes.
  • Resolve installation-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manages a team of installers who are responsible for installing approved designs; schedule and oversee the installation.
  • Adhere to contract specifications and established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure project milestones are met and adhering to approved budget.
  • Addressing with the Site team any non-conformities, audit findings and customer complaints.
  • Conducting periodic inspections and audits to verify that activities are being performed as specified.
  • Collaborating with the Site staff to ensure all activities are completed as specified, collecting the records of evidence and certificates of conformance.
  • Participating in Site Surveys, Pre-installation meetings and Quality Review with clients.
  • Support sales during tender on resources required for implementation. Resources includes manpower and cabling effort.
  • Provide cable length estimation for either tender support of project implementation.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in installation management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing installation projects.
  • Experience in installation of equipment and systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of different cable types and cable containment.
  • Knowledge of installation guidelines and procedures.
  • Familiarity with safety and quality standards, installation tools and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in use of relevant software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet strict deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong, planning and reporting skill.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Strong decision making and analytical abilities.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to motivate and influence others;
