Job Description
As a Technical Accounting Manager, you will:
- Report to the Head of Finance, ensure compliance to IFRS, kept abreast of reporting requirements
- Set up accounting policies and governance, lead implementation across the Group
- Support pre-IPO discussions, review IFRS treatment relating to share based compensation, revenue recognition topics
- Key liaison between external stakeholders e.g. auditors to ensure statutory compliance and resolve accounting related matters, advice on complex accounting issues
- Prepare technical papers on complex accounting subjects
- Provide periodic training/seminars to finance teams locally and regionally on changes to accounting treatment and other emerging topics
The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Finance and Accounting, CA qualified, at least 10 years working experience
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS application, working in either commercial set up and/or professional accounting firms
- Hands on experience with preparation of technical papers from scratch
- Combination of working experience with MNC and start ups will be highly advantageous
- Able to work independently, possess good stakeholder management and presentation skills to conduct trainings to both finance and non finance members
