Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the tooling team in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
- Work closely with design, manufacturing, and planning teams to ensure smooth project execution and achieve 100% on-time delivery for tooling projects.
- Analyze stamping processes to identify opportunities for optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
- Investigate defects and provide technical solutions to resolve issues in tooling and stamping operations.
- Offer technical support to sales teams and customers by evaluating tooling feasibility for projects.
- Lead cross-functional teams to refine tooling processes, reduce cycle times, minimize scrap rates, and implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Ensure all process, quality, and system documentation is up to date and complies with ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001, and ISO13485 standards.
- Enforce safety protocols, ensuring a secure working environment and strict adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Oversee the Tool & Die and Stamping personnel, promoting discipline, managing tardiness, and ensuring no illegal items are brought into the company premises.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to ensure tool longevity, minimize downtime, and improve overall efficiency.
- Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and ensure continuous improvement in operations.
- Work closely with Production, New Product Introduction (NPI), Quality Control, and Operations teams to enhance tooling efficiency and processes.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
The Successful Applicant
Key Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Precision Engineering or relevant technical qualifications in Tool & Die making.
- Strong knowledge of stamping processes, tooling, and die-making, with a focus on process optimization and problem-solving.
- Proven experience in leading teams, with strong project management and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders effectively.
