We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of equipment and facilities at our chemical plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing spare parts, optimizing stock control using CMMS TMQ-W, and improving equipment reliability to prevent downtime. This role requires strong mechanical engineering expertise and hands-on experience in plant and facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review the spare parts list and equipment data for inventory control.
- Ensure the availability of critical spare parts to avoid equipment downtime.
- Optimize spare parts management and stock control by using the CMMS system TMQ-W.
- Service and maintain used equipment and components to ensure they are always ready for use.
- Analyze equipment failures and collaborate with production teams and contractors to improve reliability.
- Continuously improve the maintenance process to increase the longevity and efficiency of utilities and facilities.
- Work proactively to ensure no operational downtime occurs due to the unavailability of spare parts or equipment failure.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs as required to keep machinery and equipment functioning smoothly.
- Work closely with the production team and contractors to address recurring issues and implement solutions to enhance equipment reliability.
- Review and refine maintenance practices to ensure optimal plant performance and minimize disruptions.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- 3-5 years of experience in plant and facility maintenance, preferably in a chemical processing plant.
- Basic understanding of maintenance technology in a manufacturing or process plant environment.
- Experience with CMMS software, specifically TMQ-W, for inventory and maintenance management.
- Strong knowledge of spare parts management and equipment maintenance techniques.
- Familiarity with utilities and facilities maintenance in a chemical plant.
