Job Description
Group Accountant
The Group Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the company's subsidiary / subsidiaries. This role involves consolidating financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing detailed financial analysis and reports. The Group Accountant will work closely with the finance team to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Financial Reporting and Consolidation:
- Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the group.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results in accordance with SFRS(I) /SFRS.
- Review and analyse subsidiary financial statements and ensure consistency in accounting practices across the group.
2.Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
3.Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis and provide reports to senior management.
- Develop and monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators.
- Support strategic initiatives and business planning with financial insights and data.
4.Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with finance teams across the group to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders as required.
- Provide guidance and support to subsidiary accountants on financial matters.
7.Other Duties:
- Participate in ad hoc projects and financial analyses as required.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, with experience in a group or multi-entity environment highly preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International) (SFRS(I),Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
- Proficient in financial consolidation software and ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (bilingual in English and Chinese)
