Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable (AP):
- Oversee the end-to-end AP process, including vendor invoice verification, approval workflows, and timely payment disbursements.
- Reconcile vendor and supplier accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with banking policies.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and banking regulations when processing payments and managing funds.
- Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Manage the AR process, ensuring timely collections, credit control.
- Monitor accounts for overdue payments, initiate collection efforts, and maintain an accurate aging report.
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations when handling customer payments and financial transactions.
- Bank Reconciliation & Financial Entry:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, ensuring that all transactions align with the general ledger.
- Process financial data entries for payment records, deposits, withdrawals, and other transactions, ensuring strict adherence to banking industry standards.
- Investigate discrepancies between bank statements and internal records, ensuring accurate and timely resolution.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Assist in the preparation of regular financial reports, cash flow analysis, and bank account summaries for senior management.
- Ensure all financial processes comply with banking regulations, including reporting and documentation for audits.
- Support external audits and regulatory examinations by providing accurate financial data and reconciliation reports.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess and improve financial processes, leveraging industry best practices for efficiency in AP, AR, and bank reconciliations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and implement automation where possible, ensuring compliance with banking standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance operations with a focus on AP, AR, and bank reconciliations.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements related to financial transactions.
- Expertise in using banking-specific accounting systems and financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle,or industry-standard platforms).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with advanced skills in financial analysis and data manipulation.
- High attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work within strict deadlines in a regulated environment.
- Understanding of internal controls and risk management in Banking / Fintech industries.
