ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an ambition to be the most-loved QSR brand in Asia. You will play a key role in helping grow KFC’s business through activating operations systems execution, adoption and ongoing enhancement to support the Operations Strategy in Asia. You will drive adoption from an operational perspective of key systems including KFC Connect, Kitchen Management System, Drive Thru timers, BOH System, Speed of Service systems, Labour Management, Delivery Management, and other systems aimed at enhancing the customer, people and shareholder experience. You will work closely with Operations Performance Managers, cross-functional Asia teams, global counterparts and our franchisee partners across Asia to influence and achieve adoption and execution of operating systems.


WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

You will be a valued partner to our KFC Asia Franchise business. Market assignments will change from time to time. You will have indirect impact upon System Sales = USD$2 billion FY22.


You will be based in Singapore with some traveling required.


MAKE A DIFFERENCE… with your role’s responsibilities


You will be responsible for:


A. OPERATIONS SYSTEMS LEADERSHIP - KFC CONNECT: (50%)

  • Lead the market launch, adoption, execution and enhancement of the KFC Connect operations system. Project manage market rollouts in consultation with the franchisepartner, the operations performance manager, cross functional teams and global counterparts to deliver on-time launch and full adoption of Connect in each market.
  • Drive seamless execution and operational adoption of integrated KFC Connect programs such as Success Routines and Microapps specific. Be the key operations SME contact for systems maintenance related to approving and executing (where possible) the adjustment of Success Routines and Microapps that require operational input.
  • Deliver seamless and full adoption of key KFC Connect Apps including the ARL App, the Manager App, the Restaurant App and the Admin tool.
  • Work with Restaurant Excellence counterparts to ensure presentation of other critical data sources within KFC Connect including ROCC and KFC Listens.
  • Rollout and drive adoption of Connected Kitchen tools including MRD printers and IOT Sensor in consultation with the YUM Asia technology teams
  • Define and localise as needed standards and CSLs for KFC Connect. Work cross-functionally to drive availability and adoption of training materials for restaurants.
  • KFC Connect vendor management for market-specific adjustments, debugging, and integrations that doesn’t require significant technology intervention.
  • Coordinate and conduct feedback ongoing process to ensure i) operations issues are identified and resolved ii) continuous improvement of Franchisee’s Ops efficiency and competitiveness
  • Deliver overall support for KFC Connect including training, upgrades, updates, analytics and reporting on the adoption and execution of the program.

B. OPERATIONS SYSTEMS LEADERSHIP – RESTAURANT SYSTEMS: (50%)

  • Lead the market launch, adoption, execution and enhancement of key KFC restaurant operating systems. Project manage market rollouts in consultation with the franchise partner, operations performance managers, cross functional teams and global counterparts to deliver on-time launch and full adoption. Co-define the adoption roadmap by franchise market and build alignment on the delivering on time execution.
  • Key operational systems include Kitchen Management System, Drive Thru timers, BOH System, Speed of Service systems, Labour Management, Delivery Management, and other systems. This role will focus on the market training, adoption and operational systems enhancement, and not the IT setup, coding of systems or vendor management.
  • Define, lead and deliver operational adoption and training of agreed operations systems rollouts in consultation with technology, franchisee, restaurant excellence and operations counterparts.
  • Seek opportunities and perform ad hoc market analysis (e.g. speed of service, delivery rider efficiency, cost of labour) that drive engagement and business case
  • Support key initiatives to drive engagement of restaurant systems including Operations Forum, Speed College and alike depending on the markets strategic needs
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

You must be/have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, technology or related fields
  • 4+ years of above restaurant KFC or other chain operations experience. Lean process management would be a plus. RGM experience highly desirable.
  • Strong interest in technology, data analysis and digital operating systems.
  • An action driver with a strong ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise.
  • An ability to influence and manage stakeholders of all levels including franchise partners and cross functional teams locally and internationally
  • A clear communicator and be discreet in handling confidential information.
  • Appropriately detailed, meticulous and professional
  • A quick learner with a positive attitude that works well under pressure
  • Fluent in English with an appetite to lead and learn other cultures
