We are seeking an experienced and proactive Ductwork Project Manager to oversee and coordinate the successful execution of ductwork projects within our organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of process exhaust ductwork systems, and a proven track record in managing complex construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless project delivery while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Strategy
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Legal comprehension and maintaining control of both Project Technical Specification and Commercial compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project deliverables, milestones, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational goals.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses to optimize project outcomes and mitigate potential risks.
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead, mentor, and empower project teams, including engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and support staff.
- Delegate tasks, assign responsibilities, and monitor team performance to ensure adherence to project schedules and quality standards.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
Client Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining proactive communication and addressing inquiries, concerns, and change requests promptly.
- Conduct regular project meetings, presentations, and reviews to provide updates on project status, milestones, and financial performance.
- Negotiate contracts, change orders, and additional work scopes as needed, ensuring alignment with project objectives and contractual obligations.
Project Execution and Quality Assurance
- Oversee the execution of ductwork projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA).
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and manage project risks and issues effectively.
- Conduct site inspections, quality audits, and safety assessments to maintain stringent quality control and safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
Financial Management and Reporting
- Manage project budgets, expenses, and financial forecasts, ensuring projects are completed within approved budgets and profitability targets.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including cost estimates, budget variance analysis, and project profitability assessments.
- Implement cost-saving measures, identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, and optimize resource allocation to achieve project financial goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in project management, specifically in process exhaust ductwork systems, ductwork installations, or building construction projects.
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing complex projects from initiation to completion, with a strong focus on delivering results within budget and schedule constraints.
- In-depth knowledge of process exhaust ductwork systems, ductwork design principles, construction methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
