Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) in School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) is looking for a Research Fellow with strong expertise and publication record in algebra, combinatorics, finite geometry, or a closely related area of mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Propose methods to tackle open problems concerning optimal configurations in finite geometry
- In cooperation with PI and Co-PI, carry out numerical studies to identify promising directions for constructions and nonexistence results for equiangular tight frames
- Produce mathematical proofs for conjectures that arise from numerical studies
Requirements:
- PhD in mathematics
- Deep knowledge in algebra, combinatorics, finite geometry, or a closely related area of mathematics
- Good track record of publications in algebra, combinatorics, finite geometry, or a closely related area of mathematics
