Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in generating leads and supporting the sales process for oil & gas engineering hardware, including but not limited to tools, bolts, nuts, cutters, wrenches, pipe plugs, and gaskets.
- Provide technical product information and guidance to clients, ensuring proper application of equipment in oil & gas operations.
- Collaborate with senior sales staff to prepare proposals, quotes, and presentations tailored to client needs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, focusing on customer satisfaction and long-term business development.
- Conduct site visits and attend client meetings to understand project requirements and recommend appropriate hardware solutions.
- Stay informed of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activity within the oil & gas sector.
- Participate in sales and product training programs to enhance technical knowledge and sales skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- 1-2 years of sales or technical experience in the oil & gas industry, particularly in the selling of engineering hardware such as tools, bolts, nuts, cutters, wrenches, pipe plugs, and gaskets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing client relationships and closing sales.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior sales engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Autocad software is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer support.
- Enthusiasm for learning and developing within the sales field.
- Willingness to travel to meet clients and visit project sites as needed.
