Senior Analyst
Job Description & Requirements:
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst to assist Portfolio Managers in the management of investment portfolios, with a focus on conducting in-depth fundamental research in the Korea, Greater China, and Japan markets. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the investment process, generating actionable trading ideas, and contributing to overall portfolio performance.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Assist Portfolio Managers with portfolio management activities, including research, analysis, and trade execution.
- Conduct fundamental research on companies, sectors, and markets across Korea, Greater China, and Japan, with a primary focus on the IT hardware and tech sectors.
- Collaborate with counterparties and manage trade execution processes, ensuring accurate booking and reconciliation of trades.
- Generate and propose trading ideas based on market trends and investment research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute trades and interact with counterparties for seamless execution.
- Develop and present actionable trading ideas to the Portfolio Managers.
- Provide coverage on the IT hardware sector, with additional responsibility for covering the broader Asia tech sector (Korea, Greater China, and Japan).
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in investment banking or at a buy-side firm, with a focus on equity markets.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Business/Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong financial modeling skills and a solid understanding of financial instruments and markets.
- A self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven track record of delivering results and driving success in a high-performance investment team.
