Job purpose
Process insurance quotations and ensure all necessary documents and information are submitted to insurance companies. In addition, process renewals, endorsements, cancellation and liaise with insurers on refunding customers.
Duties and responsibilities
Insurance Quotations
Seek quotations from Underwriter (insurance company) on insurance premium amounts to be paid for customers.
Issue Insurance Cover Notes once insurance premium is paid.
Attend to call-in enquiries and handling customer complaints on insurance matters.
Respond to salespersons’ enquiries on insurance matters.
Process Motor Trade and Trade Plate
Updating and removing of named drivers during insurance period.
Renewals and Endorsements
Send renewal notices to existing customers who had taken up insurance and follow-up if they would want to continue to insure with the existing insurance company once their existing insurance expires.
Process endorsements on changes (eg. change of vehicle number, add named drivers, extend insurance period, etc.) by liaising with insurance companies.
Cancellations
Notify insurance companies to process refunds to customers who terminate their existing insurance policies prematurely.
Requirements
- Min GCE A Levels or Diploma in any field
- No prior experience required.
- Patient, meticulous and organised.
- Candidates with Certification in General Insurance (Basic Insurance Concepts and Principles (BCP), Personal General Insurance (PGI), Commercial General Insurance (ComGl)) will be an added advantage.
Candidates without certificates but willing to take the Certification in General Insurance are encouraged to apply.
