The Role


He/She is responsible for leading and driving sales and profitability over multiyear Digital and Partnerships strategy with a strong focus on digital innovation, including the company's online channels. The incumbent will oversee all aspects of the ecommerce business, including strategy, merchandising, marketing, analytics, and operations.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital strategy and customer journey including e-commerce for the company, to build online presence and customer engagement and maximise sales and profitability.
  • Manage the function P&L, including ownership of the cost structure and seeking opportunities to improve efficiencies.
  • Utilize market analysis, including competitor assessments and customer insights, to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Stay abreast of global trends in digital and identify best practice for omni-channel engagement.
  • Drive customer acquisition and retention through targeted digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, and paid advertising.
  • Develop comprehensive business plans and financial models for proposed initiatives, outlining key performance indicators and success metrics.
  • Drive the development of innovative digital solutions, including mobile apps, online ordering platforms, digital payment systems and delivery services, to meet evolving customer needs.
  • Collaborate with market teams to develop the roadmap for own app; identify relevant functionalities and features with the objective of driving both e-commerce as well as omni-channel engagement with the broader customer base.
  • Work with markets to identify the optimum marketplace strategy to maximize share of e- commerce at favorable commercial terms.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including merchandising, marketing, and operations teams, to ensure a seamless customer experience across all channels.
  • Identify required capabilities and skill sets needed; develop the team to manage the digital capabilities based on the agreed model and structure.
  • Drive data driven decision making through our retail analytics platform.
  • Align with retail analytics team on future roadmap for Guardian Singapore.
  • Develop strategy for new streams of revenue including retail media and insights monetization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Preferably more then 7 years of experience in digital strategy, ecommerce, with a focus on driving sales and profitability. Knowledge of the health and beauty industry is a plus.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team, set clear goals and drive results.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision making.
  • Strong communication skills and inter-personal skills to articulate strategies, influence outcomes and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic planning abilities with a good understanding of digital trends and technologies.
  • Experience working in Singapore and knowledge of local regulations and consumer behaviour is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across markets simultaneously, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.
