We are currently seeking a team of Trust Accountants to join our team. Reporting to our client’s head office in Zurich, the team will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities of trust accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting for a portfolio of trust accounts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Double entry bookkeeping, maintaining accurate records of trust account balances and activity
- Collating, organising and all such other work relating to the handling of statements, advices and transactions slips incidental to bookkeeping, accounting, audit records and transaction monitoring
- Preparation of annual and ad-hoc financial statements
- Preparation of corporation tax computation and tax returns
- Provide inputs/feedback and perform user acceptance testing for accounting system changes and upgrades.
- Ad-Hoc reporting and / or priority accounts preparation as required by client circumstances (i.e. shorter deadlines due to client reporting requirements / internal meetings/ restructuring etc.).
- Any other tasks that may be assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or professional qualifications in accounting, finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in trust accounting for senior accountants
- At least 6 years of experience in trust accounting or related field for managerial position
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Working knowledge of trust accounting principles and regulations will be an advantage
