Director, Legacy Planning

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

  • Assist in implementing the insurance referral proposition across PvB regions, working with brokers and in-house Insurance Specialists (IS).
  • Partner with market heads to understand market priorities and ensure the alignment of activities with overall business planning.
  • Enable legacy planning activities through client seminars, team sessions, and new market opportunities.
  • Oversee insurance referral processes for PvB RMs, ensuring compliance with regional and global standards.

Business

  • Assist in creating and implementing processes for reporting and tracking the effectiveness of insurance referral activities.
  • Ensure that all processes and transactions are compliant with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and global standards.
  • Act as a key contributor to managing insurance referral related complaints, handling business performance reviews, and reporting relevant trends to senior management.
  • Work with the Lead of Legacy Planning to uplift the legacy planning referral activities and ensure proper resource allocation and budget management across regions.
  • Support the Lead of Legacy Planning in ensuring that all revenue from insurance-related activities is accurately attributed and reported.
  • Collaborate with PvB teams to deliver training and onboarding programs for RMs and other stakeholders to enhance their understanding of insurance referral related processes.

Processes

  • Demonstrable experience in HNW insurance or Private Banking with expertise in legacy planning and insurance referral processes.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, insurance products, and tax or regulatory requirements that impact the insurance referral business.
  • Experience in managing stakeholder relationships and driving business development through strategic broker engagement.
  • Strong people management, coaching, and mentoring skills to support the growth and development of the team.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
  • Strong risk management capabilities, with the ability to ensure compliance with business guidelines.

  • Act as a mentor to junior team members, offering support in professional development and technical skills related to legacy planning.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • University Graduate
  • 8+ years of experience in insurance or private banking with expertise in legacy planning and insurance referral processes
  • Fluency in Business Communications is an advantage.
